Powder in an hernia.

Take of Solomon's Seal and Comfrey Roots, Aniseed, each 1 dram; make a Powder.

It doth good, by expelling Wind, easing Pains, and consolidating the Parts. Let a small Child take 15 grains thrice a day.

It greatly avails also, against both Pain and Flux of the Hemorrhoids. Let grown Persons take half a dram or 2 scruples; with a draught of Decoction of Yarrow, or our styptic Decoction.
