An admirable imitation of the true Bengal sauce may be made by finely scraping half the kernel of a cocoa-nut, adding the juice of three lemons, a tea-spoonful of Cayenne pepper, and three drops of garlic vinegar.
This should be placed in a small jar, andset on the hob for a couple of days, to insure a proper amalgamation of the ingredients.
