March 25th : WHITE WINE WHEY
Pour into a pint of boiling milk a gill of white wine and a small quantity of lemon peel; let it continue on the fire till the curd hardens; strain through a muslin sieve, sweeten with white sugar to your taste, and grate a little nutmeg on the top of the whey.
This should be taken just before stepping into bed, and will be found an excellent remedy in cases of low fever, or heat of skin.
