A Cataplasm with Radish.

Take Roots of Horse Radish, Squills, each 2 ounces; Rue, Mustard Seed, Salt, each 1 ounce, black Soap 2 ounces; Vinegar as much as useful to beat it up with.

Sometimes for the greater stimulation I use to add powdered Cantharides 2 scruples; bind it to the Soles of the Feet in Fevers. See the Cataplasm of Herrings, and Lotions for the Feet.
