A Nephritic Electuary.
Take powder'd Seeds of Flixweed, clarify'd Honey, fresh butter, each 1 ounce; powder'd nutmeg 1 dram; make it up with Syrup of Marsh Mallows.
It admirably prevents and mitigates those Colic Pain, which commonly are occasion'd by a Fit of the Stone in the Kidneys. For prevention let half an ounce be taken Night and Morning, for three days together, before the new and full Moon, and a glass of white Wine after it. To alleviate the present Pain, let the same Dose be taken as soon as ever any grudging of the Fit a coming is perceived, and let it be repeated every 4 hours for 6 times, and let a quarter of a pint of the Magistral Decoction of Mallows be drank after each Dose.
