A Sulphurate Electuary.
Take conserve of red Roses 2 ounces; Balsam of Sulphur Terebinthinated 1 dram, mix.
It resists Putrefication, mundifies, consolidates, dries, roborates and tempers Acids, is used for Defluxions into the Breast, Cough and beginning Consumption. But when an Hectic is once begun, Sulphureous Medicines are too hot, and must be forborn. And some forbid Balsam of Sulphur in a Consumption, where there hath been a breach in the Lungs and spitting of Blood. The Dose 2 drams, twice or thrice a day.
